Local Community Composters using their new Joramform Compost Tumbler

Local composting, global earth repair

We are growing network of local compost makers and living soil activists sharing knowledge, inspiration and information for a regenerative future.

One of our Joraform Composting Stations in Brighton

We love installing compost hubs that help create communites and connect people in urban areas. These places become thriving ecosystems and help community gardens flourish. If you are interested in a Compost Hub for your community you can contact us here for a quote.

Complete Local Composting

The human-scale system we’ve developed over the past decade is a sollution to problem of foodwaste in cities.

We install & supply compost hubs like these and teach the process we use to make biologically complete compost to communities across the country.

Brighton Living Soil

Join Brighton’s first Compost Club

This is our local compost club where we collect household food scraps in buckets from doorsteps once a month and transform it into complete compost.

Members receive a clean bucket every month on collection day & some of the complete compost back once a year for gardens or houseplants. The memberships help support regenerative farms and community gardens locally.

For residents of Brighton, Hove, Ditchling Village, Hassocks, Burgess Hill and neighbouring villages only.

Soil is the foundation of life on Earth

Living soil is vital to the health of all plants, animals & humans. Today most of our planet’s agricultural land is managed using herbicides, pesticides and fertilisers to increase monocultural production but this severely degrades the life in our soil and reduces the nutrient value of our food. By working with biology & composting properly we can all help to bring living soil back and create a healthier food and farming system.

Feeding the life that feeds us

We have bacteria and fungi to thank for all the minerals in our food and the cells of our bodies. The biological sciences of the Soil Food Web and the gut microbiome, call for us to partner with microbial & plant biodiveristy to reverse the damage that decades of toxic food and farming practices have caused. We support landowners, community groups, gardeners and farmers to restore living soil where they live and work.

Join the Mycelium Network

To get support setting up your own compost club and start regenerating the soil of your community we welcome you to join our growing network.

Inspired by the mycorrhizal networks that lie beneath our feet, our Mycelium Network is a resource-sharing community where individuals, communities and organisations learn together as well as get access to the lowest possible prices on the best tools and ingredients for complete local composting.

“It’s been great to benefit from Tom’s experience setting up a compost club. We get linked up with a network full of composting gurus and other startups like us. It wouldn’t have been so easy and enjoyable without that support.”
